Getting started
-
What is Trustfone?
Trustfone is a marketplace for buying and selling second-hand smartphones and tablets in Myanmar. We focus on trust — verified sellers, condition grading, and an opt-in mediation flow called Safe Trading — so both sides walk away from a trade confident.
-
How do I sign up?
Download the Trustfone app from the App Store or Google Play, tap Sign up, and verify your phone number with the OTP we send you. You can also sign in with Google or Facebook — your phone is verified separately the first time you list a device.

Why can't I share my phone number in chat?
To protect both buyers and sellers from off-platform scams, the chat automatically blocks messages that contain phone numbers, emails, or social-network handles. Trade negotiation, photos, and questions about the device are all fine. If you need to meet up, agree on a public location inside the chat.
If you opt into Safe Trading, an admin handles payment and delivery verification end-to-end — there’s no need to share contact details directly.
Selling
-
How do I list a device for sale?
From the home feed, tap Sell. Walk through the four steps:
- Basics — title, brand, model, year, condition, category.
- Specs — RAM, storage, processor, display, camera, battery.
- Pricing & warranty — price in MMK plus optional warranty info.
- Photos — up to 10 photos. The first one becomes the cover.
After you submit, an admin reviews the listing (usually within a few hours) before it goes live in the feed.
Safe Trading
-
What is Safe Trading?
Safe Trading is an opt-in mediation service. Either party can request it during a chat. Once an admin accepts:
- The conversation becomes a 3-way group chat with the admin.
- Buyer pays the seller (or escrow, depending on the trade) and sends proof in chat.
- Admin verifies the payment.
- Seller delivers the device — admin verifies delivery.
- Trade is marked complete and both sides can rate each other.
Safe Trading costs 50 credits for the buyer to initiate and 100 credits for the seller when the trade completes. Rates can change — see the in-app price list for the latest values.
Credits & top-ups
-
What are credits and what can I spend them on?
Credits are the in-app currency for platform features, not for paying sellers. You can spend credits on:
- Safe Trading fees (buyer + seller)
- Featured listing — top-of-feed placement for 7 days
- Listing renewal after a listing expires
- Verified Seller badge (monthly)
- Urgent badge (“selling fast” tag on your listing card)
Credits are non-refundable and non-transferable between users. Buy them in the app via the Buy Credits screen.
-
How do I top up my credits?
In the app, open My Wallet → Buy Credits. Pick a package, choose your payment method (KBZPay, Wave Money, MPT Money, Mytel Pay, Ooredoo Money, or cash agent), pay the exact amount to the destination shown, and upload a screenshot of the receipt.
Top-ups are normally approved within 30 minutes. You’ll get a push notification once your credits are added. If your top-up is declined, you’ll see the reason in the app.
-
Are credits refundable?
Credits are not refundable in general. There’s one exception: if a Safe Trading request is rejected by an admin, the buyer’s 50-credit initiation fee is automatically refunded to their wallet.
Account & profile
-
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open Profile → Settings → Delete account. Your listings are removed, your chat messages are deleted, and your account data is purged within 30 days. Top-up history is anonymised and retained for accounting/audit reasons (up to 12 months) but no longer linked to your identity.
